Holographic QCD: Introduction and selected results

Abstract:
Strong interactions in the nonperturbative regime can be analysed adopting an approach inspired by the gauge/gravity duality. I shall introduce such an approach,
and discuss how it can be used to describe, e.g., hadrons in a hot and dense baryonic environment, evolution of an out-of-equilibrium plasma, and chaos for a
QQbar system at finite temperature and baryon chemical potential.
