Model for Dark Galactic Halos

After a brief review of dark matter (DM) candidates it is argued from a number of lines of discussion that the most probable DM constituents are Primordial Intermediate-Mass Black Holes (PIMBHs) and that the Milky Way (MW) dark halo contains billions of PIMBHs each more massive, and smaller, than the Sun, with mean separation over 100 light years. Of the ways of searching for such MW MACHOs, the most promising is by observing their microlensing of source stars in the Magellanic Clouds. Such an experiment has been proposed to start in Chile in 2017.
